Zero Tolerance Policy

Action taken report on Implementation of UGC-Regulation on curbing the menace of Ragging in the College.

  1.  The college has robust mechanism for monitoring, awareness generation and prompt redressal of complaints. At the onset of academic session, the college constituted anti-ragging committee. The college has an active Anti Ragging committee consisting of members headed by a convener. The committee gets reshuffled each academic session. the complaint can be received through application, online, or through complaint box which is assessed by the committee and process the redressal.
  2.  The committee are regularly monitoring in the campus and informed students about anti-ragging measures. The committee prepared Action Taken Report for each academic session.
  3. Students are regularly informed about anti-ragging measures during admission counselling, fresher’s parties, and other college events. Anti-ragging boards and posters displayed in the campus. The college prospectus also clearly mentioned the anti-ragging measure under code of conduct.
  4. A complaint box is installed on campus to enable students to confidentially report any incidents or grievances. An online grievance redressal system is available on the college website, allowing students to register complaints regarding ragging under the Student’s Grievance Redressal Section.
  5. The anti-ragging committee Conduct surprise inspection in hostels, canteens and common places to monitor student behavior.
  6. The college is registered on UGC Anti Ragging portal and encouraged students to registered undertaking form through the portal.

What Constitutes Ragging?
  • Any act of physical or mental abuse targeting freshers
  • Forcing students to perform acts against their will
  • Verbal abuse, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
  • Any conduct that causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm
  • Teasing, assigning tasks, or creating situations causing shame or embarrassment
